Here’s how I think AI can make Humanity Better
Is it even possible?
The question of whether or not artificial intelligence can positively impact the human race really comes down to an optimistic versus pessimistic thought process. In fact, in a recent report from the Office for National Statistics, about 32% of adults agreed or strongly agreed that AI will positively impact them, while the majority are either unsure or downright disagreeable with the notion of any sort of positive impact that artificial intelligence may bring to their lives.
I must agree; the question of whether or not AI will improve our lives is a bit difficult to grapple with, considering we’ve only just begun scratching the surface of the machine’s capabilities. However, I do find that there are some ways that AI might leave a positive impact on the human race, and today I’d like to share some of those with you.
Before I get into these points, however, I must make the disclaimer that the positive or negative relationship that humanity has with machines in the future will rely heavily on the ethical and careful sculpting of machine systems, which inherently invites the error of bias into the equation.
